Honor Money and it Will Honor You

I often draw the correlation between how we relate to money and how we relate to someone we love. Because when we treat the ones we love with honor, respect, and appreciation, the depth of our relationship is strengthened and their desire to be with us is enhanced. Both are elevated resulting in a more powerful and fulfilling relationship.

The same is true for money.

Pericles Rellas's picture

Pericles Rellas is a prosperity coach who, for over 20 years, has worked with tens of thousands of people to live lives of power, purpose, and prosperity.

Almost 25 years ago he noticed that his business clients exhibited what he now calls a ‘condition’ around money. Regardless of how much more they made, their situation and experience around money remained the same - stress, anxiety, dread, and just treading water or being behind. He set out to understand why and how to transform this condition. Thus the birth of Abundance & Prosperity.

There are myriad coaches who are great at helping you make more money. Pericles is one of the few who actually works with you to not only create powerful (and empowering) structures to manage the flow of money in your life, but also to transform your relationship to money. By combining these approaches, it allows you to expand your capacity to earn and keep more money, thus having and experiencing Abundance & Prosperity in your life right now. All while maintaining your personal spiritual path.

It is not about working harder or more - it’s about your relationship to money.

You can find out more about Pericles and his Abundance & Prosperity program by visiting his Website or Facebook page.

How to Have What's Missing in a Relationship You Want

Have you ever considered the possibility that there is no one out there?

Meaning to say, there is only you, walking around in your life, experiencing life based upon how you perceive things? Have you considered that the people you interact with may or may not be the way you understand them to be, but rather only occur that way to you because you have a certain vantage point from which you view them, and then you make up that that must be the way they are?

5 Ways Sleep is Good for Your Relationships

I’m a sleep lover.

I like going to bed at the same time every night and getting a full night’s sleep. Deprive me of just one hour of blessed sleep, and things quickly go downhill—just ask my husband. I become bad company—snarky and irritable, hardly able to keep up my end of a conversation, let alone negotiate difficult issues.

Sleep is clearly important for our health, helping our bodies function at their best. It’s also key to our productivity, helping us stay fresh and focused the following day. But does getting a good night’s sleep affect our relationships, too?

Greater Good Science Center's picture

This article originally appeared on Greater Good, the online magazine of the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley.

The Greater Good Science Center studies the psychology, sociology, and neuroscience of well-being, and teaches skills that foster a thriving, resilient, and compassionate society.

Based at the University of California, Berkeley, the GGSC is unique in its commitment to both science and practice: Not only do we sponsor groundbreaking scientific research into social and emotional well-being, we help people apply this research to their personal and professional lives. Since 2001, we have been at the fore of a new scientific movement to explore the roots of happy and compassionate individuals, strong social bonds, and altruistic behavior—the science of a meaningful life. And we have been without peer in our award-winning efforts to translate and disseminate this science to the public.

The Road Not Taken

It’s hard to put into words what I’m feeling.

I mean, I could try, and I have but none of what I have to say is a true reflection of my experiences over the last week. Does that ever happen to you? Do words ever fail to describe the events that have happened to you and the subsequent feelings associated with those events?

I could say I am happy, I am amazed, I am inspired – all would be true.

I could say that I am still in disbelief that what happened happen – that would be true too.

5 Simple Steps to Decluttering With Someone Else

If you have ever lived with another person as an adult (kids at home have their own challenges), then you know that successfully sharing a space isn’t always simple. It often requires a level of compassion and compromise we only wish world leaders would exercise when creating policies that affect a nation’s neighbors.

When you first decide to move in together, whether as roommates, colleagues, or more intimately, you are likely merging years’ worth of stuff, which can lead to tension, fights, and in some cases the end of an otherwise happy relationship.

Yoga Teacher as Friend

The traditional roles of yoga teacher and student have collapsed under the weight of cultural appropriation, capitalism, and scandal. In the aftermath, yoga teachers often find themselves trapped in a nowhere land somewhere between fitness instructor and life coach. But yoga is learned in relationship, the nature of which largely determines the understanding. So for yoga teachings to retain integrity in the modern world, updated models may be required.

How to Discuss Money With Your Significant Other

Dollars and Sense

Talking about money with your partner can be uncomfortable, especially if you don’t see eye to eye on how to handle problems, or if you’re coming into the situation with vastly different financial backgrounds.

A God of Rock and Roll

It was a cool, spring night and I was sitting alone in a café when a man sat down beside me. At first I judged him; he seemed restless and I felt that my space had been a bit impinged upon, but soon I let those feelings pass and I introduced myself. We began to converse, and over the course of the evening, I came to find that I was sitting next to someone very famous: quietly famous as I had to pry his life story from him sentence by sentence. First, this man was a foreigner, a stranger, and yet, as we engaged, he became a friend.

Don't Worry Like Mark Twain

Mark Twain

(Mark Twain...looking worried)

This week’s reality check - or, as I like to call it, “whack upside the head with the Frozen Fish of Reality” (Google Monty Python's Fish Slapping Dance for the reference and have a good laugh)comes courtesy of the great American humorist and writer, Mark Twain.
