Debt-Free for the Holidays: Giving the Gift of Gratitude

Debt-Free for the Holidays

Gratitude is such a popular word that we all know the benefits of being grateful and expressing our appreciation. Many of us include gratitude as a daily practice to keep us connected to all of the people, places, and things we have to be thankful for. This practice is valuable in keeping our lives in perspective. As much as I enjoy the benefits of this practice, I find that there are times I think about the people in my life and who they are for me and I don’t always communicate my gratitude to them.

Debt-Free for the Holidays: Celebrating Gift Giving

Debt-Free for the Holidays

It is that time again.  Time to show our love for the people in our lives.  The holidays encourage us to show our love in a tangible way.  It would be wonderful for our kids to have that game or toy that they have been wanting since it came out.  Our love will be present for them at a whole new level.

Debt-Free for the Holidays: Gifts That Keep on Giving

A Picture in a Frame

Michelle and I have been friends for years.  It was hard to believe that her oldest son (let’s call him Jack) was 13 and standing on stage at the temple for his Bar Mitzvah.  Time flies.  During the reception we pulled out our phones at different times to capture the moment.  Group pictures, pictures with old friends and family, funny poses, and happy moments.

Debt-Free for the Holidays:
An Economic Reality Check

We are all familiar with the term “reality check”. It’s what we ask from ourselves and others when we suspect a disconnection from reality. When we suspect that the glasses we are looking through have been overtaken by seagull poop and the ability to see what is really going on is limited.
