Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation (AARBF): evox CXO, Andrew Mersmann, is on the board of directors and is a camp volunteer for burn survivors. "Some of the most profound life experiences I’ve ever had have happened at Champ Camp and the Young Adult Summit, programs of the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation (AARBF). Capacitor Performance:  Bridget Laurent, evox legal and business affairs superstar, is legal advisor and past member of the board of directors for this avant garde dance, cirque, and sculpture company that explores the intersection of art and science; often working with scientists to create shows and installations about the natural world.

Hearts and HammersJerry Johnson, evox CMO, love this organization, and shares, "There’s an org called Hearts & Hammers. Smaller than Habitat for Humanity and a little more religiously oriented. I recently accepted a “house captain” responsibility for them. One of our recent projects was to fix a roof for a gentleman (and he truly was a gentleman) named Gomez Browder. Some volunteers from a group called “Life Teen” at a Catholic parish said, 'Hey, let us spruce up his yards while you do the roof,' and we said 'Why not?'"

Mentor Artists - MAPP: CXO for evox, Andrew Mersmann: "Being a one-on-one mentor in writing workshops with tribal youth on the Nez Perce reservation is such a deeply connected experience and immersive in a community that has embraced me as family. I treasure the experience each time I return."

Port City Kids Rise: Greg Hemmings, CEO of Hemmings House Productions, shares a project of personal importance, "We have supported many initiatives that inspire children in our community to live enriched lives, no matter what their economic background. One issue we have in Saint John is that we have one of the highest child poverty rates in the country per capita. This means most kids will never have the opportunity to learn to play music, go on a camping trip, or play sports. One of the initiatives we have volunteered for is Port City Kids Rise, that is putting season passes to our local hockey team into the hands of children from all of our priority schools."

Santa Monica ChorusBridget Laurent, Chief of Legal and Business Affairs for evox, is on the board of directors of this non-profit women’s organization, the oldest chapter of Sweet Adelines International located West of the Rocky Mountains.  The chorus is a premier a cappella ensemble offering a diverse, vibrant, innovative, and joyful sisterhood for entertaining and inspiring audiences, connecting with communities, and transforming lives through vocal education, performance, and collaborative competition. “Participation in the chorus has provided an amazing opportunity to develop and grow as an artist and as a person through focus on serving others, whether that be the audience, the chapter membership and/or the international sisterhood.”

Silid AralanWith a huge commitment to educational opportunities for local children in the Philippines, evox Marketplace Managing Consultant, Pam Baluyo, personally supports this education equality for underprivileged kids, as well as donating a portion of the evox professional fees paid to her company to ensure educational excellence.

Surf For Life:  Bridget Laurent, evox' legal advisor, is also legal advisor and past volunteer for this “voluntourism” organization, which sponsors high-impact educational and community-driven development projects in underserved communities abroad. “Helping to pave a recreational area for kids in the Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica community was an amazing way to truly connect with people in another part of the world whom I otherwise might never had the opportunity to meet.  There’s also something especially great about knowing that in my world travel, I’ve actually contributed something substantial to my destination in addition to enjoying my time there.”

We Are Allies: evox CFO, Bill Larrenaga, shares about an important organization he supports: "We Are Allies is a start-up nonprofit founded by a group of military veterans, medical experts, people in long-term recovery, and business leaders addressing the opioid crisis by fighting the stigma of addiction and deploying the lifesaving overdose reversal drug naloxone into communities. I became interested after meeting the founder and hearing his personal story. He became addicted to opioids after being permanently disabled serving his country in Afghanistan and almost took his own life but was saved by his family. His experiences and commitment to help others is an inspiration."
