Directed by Debbie Formoso. Casa Llanta is a “first generation” earthship built in El Carrizal, Nicaragua with the intention to educate and demonstrate. Using local labor with fair practices and materials common to the area, the self-sustained, off-the-grid home shows, that by building with the community and the environment in mind, everyone comes out ahead.
