There are many thing of which a wise man might wish to be ignorant. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Execution vs. Outcome

Here’s a key to unstuffing your life — plain and simple.

And this concept is from a trainer for the U.S. Olympics.

To be successful over the long run, he says, you need to shift your focus from desired outcome to consistent superior execution.

So in his world, it’s not about winning gold.

It’s about attacking your next ___________ thinking that it is going to be your best yet, based on everything you know and have trained for right up until this point.

Home Projects | Don't Be Afraid to D.I.Y.

The other week, I went to get an oil change at one of the big name companies (who I won’t mention but the name starts with “V”). During the change, they allowed me to stay in my car while they did an inspection. The results? My engine’s air filter needed to be changed. They wanted $24. My third brake light (the one in the middle) was out. They wanted $15. I declined, politely. A few years ago, I needed a filter, but my mechanic didn’t have them in stock. He told me to get one at the automotive supply next door and he’d install it for free.
